i know i have been a bad blogger this week.  i can't promise i'll be a better one this day, but i will promise a little something in the way of words, and some pictures, if you'll follow henry... 

along the path...

that follows the lake...

but pause with him as he sits with his big brother on a log in an oversized red hat and dirty winter jacket...

and then continue, until you get to the observation tower, because we (well, they) are in a bird sanctuary after all...

and look out, but hold onto henry's coat as you take the photo...

and back out to the woods, where the path opens up and the trees are so tall they make little boys look small... 

and throw sticks in the water... and declare that when your birthday comes around next year you don't want a birthday party after all, you just want to be outside all the time...

and sit on a tall, tall tree stump and don't worry at all because if you fall, your big brother is there to catch you...
