salted caramel

waiting on the 'breakfast' pie to cool down... 

it was too late to eat it last night so we saved it for this morning.  it was over-the-top sweet and, according to william, too salty.  we got the recipe from a magazine i subscribe to.  it was a salted carmel apple pie.  i say 'was' because despite our misgivings about the sugar-salt overload,  the entire thing is now gone.  so i guess we weren't willing to put our money where our mouths are.  (probably because we were too busy eating pie.)
