henry had a plan to get me to the french fry and falafel restaurant today, and i had a plan to get him to the grocery store. fortunately our agendas just so happened to fall on another beautiful day. maybe the most beautiful yet, because, though i wasn't brave enough to take off my hat while riding my bike this afternoon, i was brave enough to take it, and my mittens, and even at one point my purple coat and lined sweatshirt off on our walk to the store (and the french fry and falafel restaurant). and we even sat outside and had a lovely french fry and falafel picnic while watching the roskilde university students going to and from classes.
on our way there, we stopped and watched the baby lambs with their mothers...
and, across the way, the cows... (though you can't see them very well in this picture... (and what you also can't see are clouds))...
and another stop (you see some of the university buildings in the background) on a bridge looking down to a stream.
but it was here that my phone (and therefore camera) died. so no more pictures until we are home, with three of william's very best friends, who are now all sleeping, scattered throughout the house (well, two downstairs, two upstairs). it is our yearly contribution to the data supporting the hypothesis that the energy and chaos created by a group of 6 and 7 year olds can be contained in one small house on a short-term basis. of course i wasn't exactly reaching for my camera in the chaotic moments (which could explain why i only have two pictures from the evening)...
this was after 8:00 p.m. it now stays light out for a nice long time in the evenings and it's only getting longer...
okay, before 5 children all wake up with the sunrise tomorrow (before 6:30), i should get some sleep.

Angelic! I bet they're all making you breakfast in bed! (Seriously, they all look like brothers.)
