equinox

today was...

making french toast for breakfast... with nutmeg, to give it an extra seasonal flavor...

next, trying to get everybody to smile at the camera...

but i'll settle for everyone just looking at it at the same time...

greg&son...

 greg&sonsrunoffplayingelsewhere...

we also made a trip to the farmers' market for brussels sprouts and potatoes...

and you might notice italian grapes for sale... so... it's your local farmers' market in the sense that you can ride your bike to it... but otherwise... i'm not so sure...

then, after two more errands, a trip home.  and for henry, a 15-minute burley nap, to sustain him for the remainder of the day.

after lunch (and an apple crisp) greg took the guys on an exploration while i stayed back and got monday's homework done.  later, greg made a shepherd's pie, to round out the fall culinary experience.

hope your first day of fall was just as delightful, and a bit less rainy.

goodnight!
