around 11 o'clock last night, i told greg, "i'm going to read for awhile because for some reason i'm just not tired yet."
"it's because you had coffee at 4 o'clock," he reminded me.
och!
(that actually means 'and' in swedish. but i think it's also a scottish swear.)
so tonight, deprived of caffeine since 7:45 this morning, i'm a little sleepy. funny how you can be routinely (as in every night) deprived of some sleep, i.e. sleep deprived, and yet, have a late night that actually makes you feel tired the next day-- like more tired than you usually feel. sort of like living on a hill... on top of a hill... which is what we used to do... until we moved to the bottom of the hill, which is on top of the other hill, so that now, instead of starting at the top of both hills each morning, i get to bike up the little hill, which sort of feels like somehow, being a little sleep deprived, but not on top of the chronic deprivation that it could have felt like had we moved down to the fjord.
with that said, i will relay this day to you, mostly in pictures...
breakfast...
lunch...
with classmates...
dinner... "cob on the corn"-- william's favorite vegetable...? grain...? fruit...? caryopsis...?
h&g...
after dinner...
trip to the fjord...
helmetitis....
still green... still warm... but not for long...
on the beach....
cow on the fjord at sunset...
goodnight!

It's funny, when you say fjord, I think cliffs towering over narrow inlet... Still, it's so pretty where you are! I miss that access to water (our polluted lakes don't count).
Superb haircuts, btw.
Finally -- there's no afternoon coffee that evening wine can't undo! :)
hmm... in that towering cliff scenario, perhaps i would be incredibly rejuvenated each morning! i think maybe you are imagining the fjords in norway, but apparently they appear at the bottom of hills as well.
wish i could take credit for the haircuts, but i so can never take credit for haircuts that nice!
i like the wine advice. maybe the next time i accidentally have a late coffee!
