hair today, gone tomorrow

take a good look at this boy, because by the end of this post, he will look a lot different...

a natural expender of copious amounts of energy...

greg took the guys to a park on the fjord north of his workplace this morning and william found a climbing tree...

and the bike lock to play with.

later, we (as in greg) made a pan of brownies, (as in william and i) made a belated birthday card, and (as in william and i again) put jelly bellies into a peanut butter jar and walked over to our old stomping ground for the transforming milestone that is the first haircut...

our neighbor, louise, was a very patient hairdresser, following him around the yard with the scissors.  and her persistence paid off with a really sweet new look for henry...

and then greg found himself in the right place at the right time and also got a haircut and a beer and a brownie and some coffee.  we love our old neighbors.

later, i did some cutting of my own and got a pair of new sock mittens from a pair of worn out socks... for those in-between days of cool and cold...

now it's about 10 o'clock.  the weekend is ending.  class tomorrow, where i feel about 65% alright about an oral presentation i must give.  maybe i'll muster up some energy to work on it before bed.

LOVE the pic of W in the tree! What a beautiful boy. Also love him blasting something in the background of H's new hair photo. And H's haircut looks great! What generous and talented neighbors you have!
